The reason for the occurrence of white frost on synthetic resin tiles

Synthetic resin tiles often encounter phenomena such as fading, inconsistent colors, and "white frost" on the tile surface during the production process, causing economic and reputational loss for manufacturers. Below are the reasons why synthetic resin tile manufacturers, plastic steel tile manufacturers, and PVC tile manufacturers exhibit white frost:

1. Selected coloring pigments that are not suitable for synthetic resin tiles. It will undergo a chemical reaction when it comes into contact with cement mortar, and the blue color will disappear. Pigments that are not alkali resistant or may not be sun resistant are not suitable for colored tiles.

2. We have chosen an unsuitable synthetic resin for light coating. The surface of colorful cement tiles is usually sprayed with a layer of synthetic resin as a protective layer for the tile surface. Choosing unsuitable synthetic resin, such as synthetic resin that is not resistant to ultraviolet light, or uneven shortening of the synthetic resin film, can cause cracking and yellowing of the resin film, leading to visual "fading" of the five color and six color tiles.

3. The "white frost" on the surface of synthetic resin tiles often forms flowers on the surface of colored tiles, with different colors. This phenomenon is caused by the free calcium in cement evaporating along the capillary pores of the mortar to the surface of the tile. When calcium hydroxide encounters carbon dioxide in the air, white calcium carbonate is generated, and the water evaporates. The white calcium carbonate deposits on the surface of the colored tile, which is called the alkali diffusion phenomenon. In production, the occurrence of alkali bleeding can be reduced by controlling the water cement ratio or adding some substances. Can the defective products with the above-mentioned alkaline and inconsistent colors be modified? A sealing coating for colored tiles currently available in the domestic market can be used to color and repair defective tiles.
